STU CHISHOLM

Name?

Stuart Chisholm

Year of Birth?

21-09-1999

Current place of residence?

Currently Hastings, UK living with my girlfriend

How old were you when you first started riding and what got you into it

I was around 11 years old when I got my first bike, it was a family thing with my brother and cousins along with our friends too. I wasn't really allowed out my area being so young but with my cousins & friends we would jump on the train every weekend.

Where did you grow up and what’s your hometown like?

Born and raised in Hastings baby! It's a love/hate relationship, sometimes you just hate the place but really you can't live without it.

Local spots or new places?

New places! I'm always keen to travel and have a laugh.

Best city you have visited with your bike?

Malaga. The BMX scene there is just sick and of course the spots, parks and the food!

What was the first BMX video you owned?

The United DVD given to me at the Boyley Jam

What’s your daily routine like?

Fat dirty fry up, work, ride or chill in with the Mrs

When did you start working at Source? How did that come about and what is your role there?

I started working at Source when I was 16-17. After getting to know the crew from riding I was offered a part-time job helping out at the park, coaching and now currently helping out with the Customer Service team. I'm real lucky to be a part of the crew!

Style or stunts?

This is defiantly 50/50 split for me as I'm all for style but love the feeling of getting loose with tricks.

Park or street?

This is another 50/50 split for me I mainly ride parks because of the weather, but I enjoy all terrain!

What gets you more stoked, riding in a comp or riding for a video part?

I love riding competitions don't get me wrong but I feel there is so much more to a video part ! especially when it's been a real graft.

What riders originally inspired you?

Well going back to when I was younger it was mainly watching the locals ride and the park like Lacey and Phil, but I eventually caught myself watching Kriss Kyle's edits along and Tom Dugan's.

And who do you like watching ride now?

Courage, Justin Spriet, Peraza, Kriss, Sergio and many more...

What is the riding scene like in Hastings at the moment?

Hastings scene is so lit there's alway's something to look forward too! The younger generation are gonna be killing it in the coming years, its always good to catch them down at the park!

Congrats on coming 1st at the Backyard Jam at Unit 23 skatepark! What has been your #1 BMX event / comp you have attended so far and why?

Thank you ! I haven't been to many but 100% The Battle Of Hastings without a shadow of a doubt, the energy, the chilled evenings and not to forget all the parties! Haha

Early start or sleep in?

Before I started working full time I used to be so lazy but now I'm tied down with work I hate wasting my spare time.

Where is the last place you rode?

The source park

One-and-done or one-hundred tries?

Depends If I'm going to die trying this trick! haha

What BSD frame do you run and why did you choose it?

I have chosen the BSD Freedom frame because I feel like the geometry and sizing of this frame is perfect. The dark turquoise looks fresh with the black component's too!

How do you like to run your setup?

Slightly slack chain, raised seat & 70-80 psi!

Final words?

Thanks for having me on such a sick team!
